SkaDate, the online dating software, reached the version 7

An improved version of the quite known online dating software and social network SkaDate was launched these days.
SkaDate 7 is a completely new business software solution with a full set of up-to-date features for online dating and community web sites.
Now users may embed codes of favorite clips from any video sharing sources such as YouTube, Yahoo video, FaceBook, Metacafe, and others – it will save bandwidth and disk storage of a website, import contacts from popular email services like Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, track replies in forum topics, use new interface for creating blogs and so on.
SkaDate 7 introduces the new core engine with excellent performance which makes uploading a web site’s pages on average twice as quick then before.
In the new version customers and their users will find a number of general improvements and several features rewritten from scratch.You can test the demo here.
Just as they launched the new version the company already has an update: SkaDate 7 Update – Build 7.941 (improvements for News Feature, Text Formatting, Smilies, Ajax IM, Profile Notes, Rate Photos, Photo Approve tool, Site Suspend and added three new templates).
SkaDate is a PHP/MySQL web software and it’s running best on a Linux server (some additional software – for video processing – is required). See the server requirements here.

Very nifty software for those wanting to build a dating site. I keep hearing how large sites like eHarmony and such have thousands join a day.
Word of advice, if a group becomes too large, shared hosting for these type of projects are not a good option, it will use too much resources. However, it is okay to try a shared account in the beginning stages when using a product like this.

So you see why this script is “famous”. It is famous for its security issues and the fact that it does not work as described! I lost all users after 2 years of using this shitty script!!! And my income! No refunds, nothing!
SKADATE IS KYRGIZ SCAM!!! Do not support scammers!!! You will lose all your money and clients with this crappy piece of software. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

So what does that mean? Any idiot can register a company in the US. No offense, but you’re making it sound like the company is a US company but you have a small support department that happens to be in Krygyzstan. Funny because when you read your legal documents, why aren’t they US based?

Ska does not offer friendly support even when you bought the software for $795 and then paid for additional monthly support and they won’t even help you with a question you are having the same problem with over and over again. I quote from an email I received from them when asking for help that they “have no time” in regards to that matter. This software is holding me back from launching my site.

@Bernadette, I hate to disagree with you, but it is essential that I do. I am a bonifide customer of Skadate. Trust me I am NOT an employee, nor do I have any other ties with the company other than a vendor/consumer relationship. I must tell you that MY experience with Skadate has been TOTALLY opposite of the one you’ve describe. In fact based on my experience with them…your version seems fabricated. I have had FANTASTIC support prior to and AFTER I made my purchase with them. If I had to purchase another script tomorrow, I wouldn’t go any where else.

What was the problem? Can you be more specific? I cannot believe that our supporters rejected to help you, because you could contact support department manager and talk to her. We optimized our support service and now it’s more helpful.
If you really have any problem you may contact our support department via ticket system or use free public support forum.

Dear All,
I’m a new customer from Germany and I bought 2 SkaDate licences. I have read all your comments – now I finally know, why I’m so dissatisfied with SkaDate Company (not with the software)!
The people in this company are as unprofessional in customer support as I’ve never seen in my life. We ordered custom design integration for one of our site, it took over 2 months of discussion and design still is not completely finished. I do not believe that these people are SkaDate certified specialists. It’s a crap what they produce! If you need help or assistance you first have to pay. You pay in advance and wait and wait… It seems that they are not willing to work more than necessary!
I have terminated cooperation with them today and will look for real specialists, who handle our orders in a reliable, thorough and quick way.
I assure you, SkaDate will get bad publicity in the European Market!

Dear Petra,
It is really a pity that we have not been able to reach consensus on design integration matter. The problem occurred because not all details of design integration were mentioned by you in the final quotation request. As a person quite familiar with specifications of running an online community business (you have 2 quite successful websites with SkaDate), you know that each coding modification has its own cost, since it involves human and time resources. This is why each additional customization request made after the design integration was completed is quoted extra. This was the basis of our misunderstanding that resulted in weeks of negotiation and, finally, your grievance.
We are really sorry that you gave no attention to our attempts to get to mutual understanding (the ticket on integration issue is still open, we are waiting for your response). We still value you as our long-term customer, and hope that you will change your opinion about SkaDate support.

I bought this software to for $795 and it is real crap. All kinds of bugs and problems. Nobody stayed on my site either because things don’t work the way they should. What a huge waste of money! They will never give you a refund either! You can tell right from the beginning after you buy the software and the site is setup how low quality it is. Really a huge waste of money and nobody even pays attention to your site. Live and learn.
