A new player in the Content Distribution Network field – TinyCDN™ just launched

tinycdn_logoThere’s a new player in the Content Delivery Network field and that is  TinyCDN™, a company dedicated to optimizing the speed and reliability of content delivered over the Internet. TinyCDN is a Software as a Service (SaaS) that leverages the speed, scale and availability of Amazon Web Services. It makes it easy and economical for individuals and companies to distribute information over the Internet faster by using a Content Distribution Network (CDN).

Why do I need services like TinyCDN?
TinyCDN (and other services like that) can help you make your site faster. By offloading static files to a CDN your end users can experience a drastically faster site.

TinyCDN is delivered as Software as a Service and provides a quick, friendly, easy way to manage and optimize content on a CDN through a slick and intuitive user interface.

The company (a subsidiary of Quotient Solutions) is based in Austin, Texas and just launched yesterday (March 14). It doesn’t lack competitors in the area and we’ve compiled already a comprehensive list of CDN providers (and we just added TinyCDN to that list).

People expect to view websites, videos, microsites, flash files, pictures and other content-rich applications in milliseconds. You will lose visitors if you make them wait,” said John Curtis, the CEO of the company. “With TinyCDN, users don’t have to wait. Files can be optimized and then delivered on the closest path. Visitors in Hong Kong, London, and Chicago will now be able to access information faster than ever before.

TinyCDN does not require companies to make investments in their existing IT infrastructure. TinyCDN services range from $9.95 to $299.95 a month depending on the amount of bandwidth that will be needed to distribute content.

If you are interested in TinyCDN offer please visit www.tinycdn.com (they have prepared a FAQ just in case you might have more questions).  They can also provide you with more general information on Content Delivery Networks.
